MollyQ-50™ images of a rat brain taken three hours after the administration of
β-CIT tagged with 20MBq of I-125, a dopamine transporter biomarker. Not only
are the left and right striatal structures cleanly separated, but at least on one
side the head of the caudate appears separated from putamen by the internal
capsule.

The overall size of the striata in these images is a bit over a millimeter and the
slices chosen were spaced 800 microns apart. The resolution appears to be
under 500 microns.

We believe that the dose can be substantially reduced without seriously
compromising image quality.

The data was kindly provided by Dr Deborah Dewar, Senior Lecturer in Clinical
Neuroscience, University of Glasgow.
